andreas fischer 0 Posted December 25, 2005 never mind...after some good glases or port its ok to miss something, sometimes ;-)as long as u can see (read) it now, its ok....the next one will be maybe just readable after a second or third look ( thats why i like it so much)as u can see i had chilies for x mas instead of port....but it was fun to shoot with my new studioflashes...great xmas... tomorrow i guess i will shoot drinks ;-) Link to comment

mike ortega 0 Posted December 27, 2005 Typographic solutions using objects can get tricky. The objects have to be JUST RIGHT to get the job done. This one has great lighting, true color balance but the chilis chosen are not relaying the word as well as it should. without any confusion. The previous opinions given show this to be true. If you are asking for a critique this is what you get. The "i" are not coming across as an "i" , the "l" works better as an "i" . in fact the "i" is a better "C". and so on. My point is keep trying and you will get the right combination. As to the honest opinions given, you should listen to what they are saying because they represent the opinions of most that see it and don't see the word in an instant. The restaurant chain "Chili's" only uses one or two chilis because of this and road signs have to be instant. Your presentation is designed like a poster, thus the viewer must stop and figure it out taking the fun out of the design. They recognize the pepper first. Link to comment
andreas fischer 0 Posted December 27, 2005 thanks for the critique and i think u r right ...somehowof course the letters are not perfekt and i could have found chili`s wich suit better...the fact that i used this ones , was...i only had this ones and none wich siut better but i wouldnt like it to "perfect" , "to easy to read", i like the fact that some people maybe dont notice at the first view that there is something written the other version is even more what i like...it`s made to look like a chinese sign and i hope people need more then 2 views to see that there is the word "chili" written when they turn the head around so i can say u r right with ur critique but i wouldnt want this picture any another way....same like i dont like perffect looking plasticfood for foodphotography...i like it to look real but good Link to comment
