jo7hs2 0 Posted December 23, 2005 I decided to convert this photo to grayscale to give me a better idea of what angles I want to make sure I shoot from when I go back in a few weeks and re-shoot this waterfall with my Pacemaker Speed Graphic. I like it better without the color, it cuts some of the distractions out of the original image, especially the over exposure of the leaves. andrew_bridges 0 Posted December 23, 2005 I usually dislike digital desaturations, but this one is done so gracefully that I was surprised to see it wasn't B&W film. Wonderful, nicely distributed contrast. Link to comment
john-stricklen 0 Posted December 26, 2005 Very nicely done. Personally I prefer the color version, but I agree that the overexposed leaves are a little too much. I like the B&W version and how well done it is. If you could find a way to keep the detail under the rocks and still burn down the leaves that would be the best of both worlds. Link to comment
