I decided to convert this photo to grayscale to give me a better

idea of what angles I want to make sure I shoot from when I go back

in a few weeks and re-shoot this waterfall with my Pacemaker Speed

Graphic. I like it better without the color, it cuts some of the

distractions out of the original image, especially the over exposure

of the leaves. You can see the original image at:

I usually dislike digital desaturations, but this one is done so gracefully that I was surprised to see it wasn't B&W film. Wonderful, nicely distributed contrast.

Very nicely done. Personally I prefer the color version, but I agree that the overexposed leaves are a little too much. I like the B&W version and how well done it is. If you could find a way to keep the detail under the rocks and still burn down the leaves that would be the best of both worlds.
