Nice sharp composition, the only thing I would do different is include the whole bird in the background or remove it from the image.

I agree, darkened it so it was not too obvious, but your sharp eyes caught it...shame on me !

Beautiful focus on the subject and colors. I'd like to see it a bit more vertically oriented and including the entire piling on the right.

I would have to tilt the whole world as the piling in the back tilts at a jaunty angle !...smile !

I love pelicans! Great detail, Roger. A perfect background for birds is always wished for, but seldom found, and I think you made the best of this one. Good work!

Really are great bird...calm to almost catatonic...! Boy do they hang around the fishing boats !

In Florida they seem to be almost tame, at least where they are well fed, like here at a fishing village...and they are fun to watch !
