dilith 0 Posted December 21, 2005 Surely this fly was dead before you took this! i like the effect, it just seems a little like cheating! no offence meant! Link to comment
billfoster 0 Posted December 22, 2005 I'm curious about this also ... just to know though; I don't think there is such a thing as "cheating." Did you spray him yourself? Could he fly with all that? Anyway, tremendously well executed. I love how the pattern in the eyes is magnified in the drops (that might be worth treatment as a second shot if you have enough resolution to crop that much). One of the best macros I've ever seen. Link to comment
christophe.moustier 0 Posted December 22, 2005 You've got a really good eye ! But how did you do this ? Was the fly still alive ? Link to comment
ak-arts 0 Posted December 22, 2005 WOW! Just perfect, it looks quite live. Maybe it's not dead. Well, the best of the category. COngrats! Link to comment
gilbert_fortier 0 Posted December 23, 2005 Although I think your shots are quite impressive, both esthetically and technically, I have to admit that it may be the time to move on to new horizons... New subjects! Link to comment
gerrymorgan 0 Posted December 24, 2005 Nicely done, Stanko -- a beautiful fly photo! For those people who are puzzled as to how Stanko persuaded the fly to remain still, surely this was taken early in the morning while the fly was too cold to be active. Hence the dew on the fly's body. Link to comment

j_m_lee_photography 0 Posted March 6, 2006 whether it is alive or dead. it is a best marco with jewels. Thanks for sharing. Thanks for your visit and inspiring words too. Link to comment
bobrock 0 Posted December 16, 2007 Whether it's alive or dead it could not move with probably hundreds of times it's bodyweight in water thus permitting hundreds of exposures 'till you get the result you want. That said it is still macro. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted December 16, 2007 Hands down, this is the BEST macro image I've ever seen. Very well done! Link to comment
