faces of orchids, absolutely no manipulations. Untitled

Hello Everyone,

This is a small Orchid, about 1-1.5 inches in longest dimention(2.5-4 Centimeters) The part that makes the face is about 1/4-3/8 inchrs(6-9 Millimeters). You can only see a face like this if you backlight the flower in a very precise angle. No manipulation of any kind has been done to the features whatsoever. The colors though have been adjusted.

This flower has proven to be very difficult to photograph as the leaves are kinda meaty with some texture that made it tuff to clean.

 

The inserted image are of the flower without adjusting for the angle. All images were taken in JEPG sometimes in March of 2005. To see the possibility of a face, I had to examine the flower with a magnifying glass. Hope you find it interesting.

Cyrus, very well done. I do like the face, which reminds me of a Muppet character. The headdress stands out superbly against the purple.

Well, I guess I never seen a more human face so good revealed in a plant or something similar. Very fine eye to see this face and very expressive scene. You could give "him" a name to be more real...:) And it looks that he has wings too! Very nice!

Thank you Alin. I have called these series, Bad Hair Day and if you look closely enough, you'll see ALL features of a human face in here. 'the wings' can be viewd as hair flying all over the place.
