shadowcatcher 0 Posted December 17, 2005 I get dizzy just looking at this picture. I took this at the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It took me ages to walk up and when I got there, noticed there was alift. I snapped this hand-held as well. Any comments most welcome, Kev Link to comment
lukasz_stachurski 0 Posted December 17, 2005 Great composition! Very interesting shape of yellow endings of the steps - like in a shell. Move of the people adds some life to this picture. Their colourful clothes are a bit disturbing for me. Anyway great shhoot, congrats! Link to comment
v 0 Posted December 18, 2005 Fantastic shot! at the beginning it feels like its a multi-layer shot, but when you start looking into it, you see that its all a single composition. The position of people's coloured movement is perfect. Very well thought through shot. every detail plays role, starting from the edge of the carpet in the foreground bottom, to the little light at the end of the stairwell. I love staircases, and I take a shot every time I have a chance. THis shot, however, is outstanding. Congrats! :) Link to comment
mnigro 0 Posted December 19, 2005 the best spiral staircase i've seen on this site. the two people in motion bring life to a usually empty scene. the composition and exposure are perfect. Link to comment
les 11 Posted April 27, 2007 I have seen many shots of spiral stairs - but none with slow shutter speed, which adds a new (OK, new for me !) twist to the theme. Nicely done ! Link to comment
mcpoljak2003 0 Posted March 23, 2008 Neat. I got a similar shot in the Louvre - but it's not nearly as high up as this one nor nearly as interesting with all motion blur. I didn't realize you could go up inside the Arc. I was in Paris only a day and the weather was frightfully bad. 100km winds. La Tour Eiffel was closed for safety. Spent most of the day in the Louvre.
