alexander mandl 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Hello, it was a market in Rawalpindi (Pakistan - near Islamabad). The old beggar was sitting at the street with some hope and sorrowness in his face. I couldn't walk by. It makes me think about myself - that I am not that big and important I sometimes think. This man brings me back down on earth... There are several other photos of him in my Silkroad compilation... So please if you do not understand this image - don't rate it. Please give me some coments on what I could do better. Ratings without comments are not very helpfull. We are all here to improof our skills and learn from each other. But getting 3/3 or below without any sugestions is worth nothing. cheers alex Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted December 16, 2005 Very impressive documentary shot. I like the chosen angle, but in terms of composition for my taste, I would have prefered to see some more space around the man (up and front) to link him better to what it seems to be an interesting street. SARTMADJIEV 0 Posted September 28, 2006 Impressive and touching. Personally I was couple of times in Rawalpindi. What your picture can not convey are the smells, the dust, the noisy crowds, the humidity, all that makes these overcrowded cities difficult to leave. This is not blame on you. Rather what I want to say is that you have to have been at least once in order to really understand this image. Link to comment
