alexguerra 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Really nice shot. It must not be easy to get these butterflies holding still for a long time. The colours of the wings are wonderful and I think that with a boost on saturation the result would be amazing. I would prefer to see the subject not so centered though. Cheers! Alex Link to comment
mbranciforte 0 Posted December 15, 2005 Alex, Thanks again for your comments. You're very right, the colour saturation could have been a lot better. I imagine the emulsion on my film was rather old as I was shooting with a rather old roll...I am not pleased with many pictures on this roll for that reason. I am also much more in favour of shots with the main subject off-centered and only shot this one so centered because of the time sensitivity of the shot...like you said, these little buggers don't like to stay still. Thanks again! Michael Link to comment
mbranciforte 0 Posted December 18, 2005 I caught this photo in the rainforests of Costa Rica. I really liked his patter and the way he was sitting on this big floppy leaf. Thank you for all of your comments and suggestions. Link to comment
birteragland 1 Posted December 18, 2005 Its a nice shot, and I agree about the saturation. You don,t think perhaps you could have had trouble with the heat?I did a series of bugs in the rainforests of Borneo and to me this looks like mine did and that was the heat. But I would try to work a little on this. pnital 36 Posted August 10, 2011 After writing to you I came to look at your work. It is an older one and I knew most of your viewers commenters( that are not here any more...)I like it as is. I think it is enough saturated and more of it will destroy its beauty. I like the way you have composed it: diagonally placed on the frame with the triangled soft shallow BG ,and two "antenas" that are 'breaking" the feeling of center (they have commented upon.)Nice nature not an easy to get.
