Overall I like this. Nitpicking I would like a little more contrast from the sky and maybe a different placement in the frame for the vanishing point. Obviously it's a great theme fit.

The only thing that really detracts from the overall photo is the building in the lower right. Maybe could've been blocked by one of the verticle beams?

This is clever, with converging lights, walkway, handrails, bridge supports; looks like an evening photo, or is that fog? Anyway, very good theme fit and good eye for it.

B&W was a good choice and the building doesn't bother me so much, though it might have been easy to hide. The lack of any texture in the sky is a bother, but if this is fog, there was no choice that I can see. Overall, nice catch.

Richard, it's most certainly an evening or morning shot, otherwise the street lights would not end up so bright. I agree with the others on theme fit and such. The building does not bother me, neither does the lack of texture in the sky, but I would like to see more contrast.

I think what happened was that the street lights are the brightest objects in the shot, so if you do like an auto contrast in PS, those prevent other details, like the white line on the walkway to be upped decently. I'm thinking perhaps the light meter in the camera got fooled in a similar way.

I played a bit with contrast and curves in PS and have to admit it's a real difficult image to work with. Mainly because of the street lamps. I could not get the sort of exposure I had in mind but am attaching 2 examples. First one is fairly normal uppped contrast and lighting a bit, without loss of too much detail. Second example I like better, but it's more extreme. I found myself bothered by the building in that one so I cloned it out (quick'n dirty).

Interesting capture, PT.

Tom

Are those puddles of water on the ground?, looks like a real wet, misserable day! I like this shot, good theme fit, good choice on the B/W. I was hoping to see more of a closed end to the bridge - no idea how you could have achieved that, but it would have really put the cherry on top as far as theme fit goes.

Cheers

On your 2nd edit the contrast has "deleted" the far background, causing the closure/infinity I was hoping to see.

Cheers

Well done PT, on the nail themewise.

Compositionally - maybe someone walking closer to your vantage point, perhaps away from you. I would probably have zoomed/ walked past the building on the right, just not needed that I can see.

Impact - feels cold and (too) early; hard.

Exposure - more contrast is good, and the midtones can do with being toned down. I'd achieve this post capture, partly, by 1. contrast adjustment; 2. applying a 'multiply' blending layer of around 20% in PS; and 3. introducing more black into the darker greys via Selective Color & more white into lighter grey sky.

Beyond that.....I wouldn't change a thing!

After seeing the other edits, I retract my comment about the contrast. I don't like loosing the lights.

The building removed in "Radical contrast" looks much better though.
