zlm 0 Posted December 13, 2005 Amazing shot! So beautiful, the silhouettes are perfect, and the lighting is just right for the mood of the photo. Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted December 13, 2005 Don't see many shots of the Dolomiti in silhouette. This is very beautiful. Link to comment
bonsignore_ezio 1,776 Posted December 13, 2005 Yes, very nice, but AFAIK it is not possible to have the sun and the moon in this position in the same corner of the sky. If the sun is coming up behind the ridge, the moon should be behind the photographer's shoulder. Looks like a photoshop montage - or I am missing something? Link to comment
roiter 0 Posted December 13, 2005 Ezio, the shot is not a fake. I can send you the original shot, if you want. The direction of the light coming from the sun is congruent... from bottom left for all picture, including the sky and the moon. Thanks for your comments. I did not get cold for nothing that morning... Link to comment
bonsignore_ezio 1,776 Posted December 14, 2005 Paolo, I didn't use the word "fake" and I would certainly accept your statement at their face value. Also, if this were a fale you would have most probably made the moon much larger. Still, it remains that I cannot comprehend how the moon and the rising sun could be seen together. The moon at the first quarter is about 90 degrees from the sun. What day was this? Link to comment
roiter 0 Posted December 14, 2005 This was taken on 9/1/2005, early morning (about 7 am). Of course this is not the only shot I did, maybe this one shows better how was the light that morning. http://digilander.libero.it/pablon/Photo4U/DSCN4188edit.jpg Link to comment
