I'm surprised to find I rather like this 'duck pic' PT. I really do enjoy the way we can see the past - where they came from, the criss-crossing/ converging - and repeat lines snow/water/snow/water.

I wonder about a crop from right to minimise/ chop off the tall stem of dried grass(?)

Earthy tones, snow looks inviting - it was 40 Celsius (over 100 F) here yesterday.

Good stuff.

Oh I like this. It's calming and interesting, provokes thought. Nice colours and composition. I like the grass in the corner. Reminds me of those early morning walks on the beach when you turn around and all you've left are your footprints.

Cheers

Well seen PT, but the grass others me tremendously (sorry for that). Also, the stuff on top is a bit distracting. I think this one could easily have been improved by moving one or two steps forward, and tilting the camera down just a tad.

Theme fit is really good though!

I like this, PT - the paths converging, diverging, etc. Theme fit works. As has already been said: good earthy tones and composition; reflections on the water are a nice touch. I wonder some about perhaps cropping the distractions on the other side of the water. Nice catch.

I expect PT didn't have much time to prepare for this before the ducks plunged in. So a fun capture, certainly worthy of our Convergence folder, and one that made me chuckle. Thanks PT. Convergence in the paths, but also in the mass migration towards the water.

In an ideal world, with plenty of time, a tidier composition could have been obtained, less grass, less top zone and more of the snow area.

Did you try any more shots, after they had vanished? A close-up of the prints crisscrossing might have been nice.

The best theme fit I have seen to date, not as obvious as some of the others. I agree with Tom somewhat that you could have got a little bit closer. But nice shot anyway.
