Yes, very dramatic lighting and wave action indeed. Nice timeless feel to it as well with the black and white, and the architecture of the era... very beautiful shot! Might recommend a slight left rotation as it seems a bit tilted (or maybe just me?_

Very dramatic. It almost feels as though I am looking back in time due to the tonality you gave it. I also like that it is not overly sharp because I think that would draw attention to one element or another- while this way the whole composition blends well.

 

With the wave action the pier looks more like a ship foundering in the swell.

 

Very interesting take on what might otherwise have been a boring photo. Great job.
