Hillside, Cleeve Prior, Worcestershire

This is distinctly spooky - just needs a little mist, and I'll be hearing the banshee wail...

I hope everyone's having a happy holiday.

 

I took refuge from the rain one afternoon whilst following the River

Avon and disappeared into this little wood known as Hillside. I was

amazed that all the leafless trees were a luminous shade of green and

there was nothing growing out of the soil. It was like the colours

had been reversed. The trees were green and the "grass" was brown. I

pulled myself into a position where two foreground trees balanced out

the left and right and so as to create a sight line between them. In

this case bottom right to upper left.

Yes, this is spooky and the yellow/green of the trunks adds a ghoulish touch. Beautifully composed.

You have some wonderful detail in your images. My guess is that you must have a really good slide scanner!! I'm intrigued!

My favorite in this folder, great detail and really sharp and the colors are scary, could be a film prop from the movie Two Towers (JR Tolkien) Michael
