Boardwalk at Sunset

PurpWaltz

Scanned with Canon Canoscan FS 2710. The flare I believe is primarly due to the Nikkor 50mm f1.4 lens, as well as the use of 2 Singh-Ray Galen Rowell ND filters used to hold back the sky and bring out foreground detail. It will be nice to hear ideas on how to reduce flare in such situations. I have a picture of a sunrise shot in my portfolio with the sun in the frame, where I used the Nikkor 80-200mm f2.8 AF-D lens with a single Singh-Ray Galen Rowell 3-stop ND filter in front, and there is not even a hint of any flare.

Composition makes it stand out from your standard cookie-cutter sunset snapshots. Nice warm exposure too. This is great.
