macwise 0 Posted December 18, 2005 Hey all. This is a different photograph than the one that was uploaded earlier this month. This one has a bit more of a story, but ultimately I wanted to get anybody's feedback on this image who is interested in giving it. Let me know what you think about it, and what you either like or dislike about the image. Thanks for your critiques! Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 18, 2005 The little girl feels replaced by the baby inside, or perhaps she is no longer on earth and is viewing from somewhere outside. Very interesting concept! Link to comment
semick 0 Posted December 19, 2005 Nice work. I really like the theatrical feel that is conveyed in this image. The teddy bear nicely breaks the symmetry. I'm having mixed feelings about the smoke though......maybe it's too heavy. Either way, it's still a nice job. Link to comment
sharshar 0 Posted December 19, 2005 Oh wow, lots of drama, and questions about the situation. She's died, and finally after 6 years of grief and despair, her parents had another baby. She is seeing their happiness, suffering from vicious jealousy, is plotting how to kill the baby. Then it comes to her..... she will have her Teddy Bear do the deed! Great pic, I would love to hear your take on this!! Later, Sharon Link to comment

scot 0 Posted May 16, 2007 Lovely. It triggers something in the viewer's mind to imagine all sorts of plots and explanations for what's going on. scot Link to comment
daniel_beringer 0 Posted May 16, 2007 An amazing work of art mate. I would love to know the exposure time and how you got the people to stand still if it was a long exposure. Was there much PS processing involved? 7/7 Link to comment
a.talebzadeh 0 Posted May 16, 2007 The photo is excellent, well, what I think about the photo is, this photo gives a feeling of being neglected by the parents because of the new baby... the symmetrical shadow behind the girl has made a great comp. and the fog has made the photo some sort of dreamy... dugstervision 0 Posted May 17, 2007 I didn't see the earlier version. I like your placement of objects and the theatrical lighting. I like the fog. When you use two opposite colors together, the color will always look very extreme. Because of the orange, the blue looks too blue, too candy, too unreal. There's too much color saturation for realism. Maybe you do not want to produce an image that is convincing as 'realism'. The worst of the color are the darker areas of intense blue which makes the 'fog' appear to be a theatrical blue smoke instead of a natural phenomenon. In my opinion, the image will be greatly improved by *de-saturating the blue*. You might also try adding a little bit of light to the upper palm leaves, to make them look more real, more 3D. It might also help if the inner figures had more detail, to draw the eye into the room. The white light around the figure does not conform to her form- why? -not real. The jumble of forms at the center of the photo is a little awkward for my tastes. (no flow) ...Anyway, just some ideas to think about. -doug Link to comment

kristina_kraft 0 Posted July 23, 2007 Nice story! 7/7. Here is what i think: The girl is a neighbour and she lives opposite of that house. Before she went to sleep, she saw the lights up at the neighbours' house. She was very curious about it because she doesn't have a father, and came out infront of their house. She's stareing at that fatherhood and nothing else. Link to comment
