gk photography 0 Posted December 14, 2001 Incredible! Outstanding! Being able to see the eyes makes SUCH a difference. Even the colors are superb. I wonder if their eyes are reflective enough to pick up catch-lights.... Link to comment
jim_meyer1 0 Posted December 14, 2001 For those of you who are wondering what this is, I have a close approximation. This is a shellfish, like a conch. They have eyes that protrude on stalks, and good vision. Once they spot their prey, they pounce on it and cut into it with a saw-like device called a radulal. That's about all I remember from my college days (over 30 years ago) when I studied marine biology. Nice photo, too! Link to comment
ilia 0 Posted December 15, 2001 Eyes in sharp focus, nice bokeh. What else do you need for an excellent portrait? Link to comment
juergen_kollmorgen 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Absolutely stunning. How did you manage to get the snail's eyes so sharp into the photo ? Great shot, very well composed. Link to comment
