iren 1 Posted December 3, 2005 What a beautiful capture! Looks like a Christmas card! I love the way the lighting hits the snow, and the icicles off the rooftop! Kind regards, Iren Link to comment

etan_lightstone 0 Posted December 6, 2005 very magical photo! good job. I'm curious... do you take any precautions about using your Digital Rebel in winter? Like let it warm up inside the camera case once you come inside for a few hours? etc.. did it behave strangely at -21? did the LCD display get blurry? Link to comment
gsaramet 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Short answer: no problems. Longer answer: I've shot point and shoot digital and film cameras a lot while climbing in the winter. And the digital rebel, as well. The only camera had problems due to cold was a friend's russian Zenith, which locked. The only protection I sometime use is agains humidity. When bringing the camera back to a heated place, I put it in a bag, so the moisture in the room condenses on the bag, not the camera. I never had a problem with a camera - of course, that's not a rule. Your mileage might vary. However, I carried my digital point and shoots during winter at -10 - -15C, not to mention the windchill, and had no troubles. In a bag, over my coat. Only the lcd reacted slower a bit.
