magnus_nystedt 0 Posted December 12, 2001 In my opinion the dark foreground spoils what could have been a very nice photo. It just doesn't do anything. And is that a railway at the bottom of the shot, or is it part of the road? That is distracting too and doesn't do anything for the photo. The land beyond the dark under the clouds and the sky is nice. Perhaps cropping the picture to almost a panorama format would help. I know it is taken from a moving car, but it also takes away from the photo that the horizon is not level. Link to comment
tim_franklin 0 Posted April 16, 2002 I disagree with Magnus. The contrast between light and dark areas can lend great strength to a picture (or painting). In this case there is again no discernable subject to focus upon, and the light quality by itself is insufficient to make up for this. Link to comment
