Simply amazing. I'm going to tell you honestly, I've seen a lot of bird shots, and this is by far my favourite. A week's work well worth it. Could've used a little less vignetting on the top left though.

Can you imagine how many of us are gonna be lying in the sand with a dead fish in front of us trying to get something close to this good? LOL!! Wonderful Shot!!!!

Makes me feel sad for the little fellow!I guess if you are going to die of air asphixiation slowly why not speed it up via bird.The contrast of the beauty of the framing and colors with the cruel reality of life for the beasties will probably make it an enduring one in our psyche.It almost looks photoshopped.Is it?Proof positive that photography has not exhausted all possible themes....

Nice setup! The first thought that popped in my head was the T-Rex chase scene from Jurassic Park ... I have to agree that the vignetting is a bit distracting ...
