kkwan 0 Posted December 11, 2001 I am really impressed with the photos in this folder. You have captured the light so well in many of them. And in this shot, the light is just amazing. I really like the splash of light in the middle. The rim lighting (and some side lighting) on the foreground rocks really brings out the texture. Well-seen shot. Link to comment
chjohnson 0 Posted December 11, 2001 Thank you Kenneth. This is one of my favorite Alaska images for many of the reasons you mentioned. I particularly enjoy the long shadows and the rim lighting on the ice-covered rocks. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, it is not the type of image that people go crazy over. Link to comment
gauthier 0 Posted December 12, 2001 I've gone for textures using incident light, recently, and I can appreciate this picture for its worth. Awesome light, adding some warmth to this freezing landscape and showing textures very well. Link to comment
chjohnson 0 Posted January 7, 2002 This is perhaps one of my favorite morning photographs, as well as one of my favorite Alaska images. I am looking for specific feedback on if this image is appealing and why. Please rate and comment. Link to comment
dennis jones 0 Posted January 7, 2002 Lighting. I'm a sucker for the low angle light. I agree, your folder is as good as anyones out there. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted January 24, 2002 Ouch ! Fabulous light and great composition ! I believe, it is difficult not to lose the viewers' eye, to keep focus and direction I mean, in complex landscape shots like this one... and you did very well on in that sense too... Link to comment
ruth_christie 0 Posted March 9, 2002 Like the delightful sensations to taste of sweet and sour the complexity of contrasts here with the warm peachy light the velvety purple shadows the cold feeling from the snowy, shadowed mountains make this an exciting and beautiful image. Great photo! Great portfolio! Link to comment
