rave photography Lou's Halo

Out of all the shots in this folder, I like this one the best. It is nowhere near as busy as your other photos; the simple framing of the subject by the light trails is very pleasing. Gotta love high intensity glowsticks!

 

I have been shooting raves for a while now, but my style of shooting is probably very different from yours. In any case, if you'd like to chat about shooting raves give me an email! If you'd like to check out my rave shots I have a few up in here.

A basic rule in photography is to use natural frames when available. You did here and it works very well: simple, efficient composition.

 

This shot was taken during a rave where the subject was twirling a

rope with four high intensity light sticks attached to the end. I

shot many pictures while the subject (Lou) was doing his show and by

luck landed on this shot.

 

Unfortunatly I also captured someone in the background who was doing

something similar, and I'm affraid this shot is ruined by this fact.

I'd like to have your thoughts about it.

a little chaos is a good thing, keeps the visual interest high. :)

I have to agree with the others- I like the natural framing from the spinning lightsticks. You've managed to capture a nice moment from most raves.
