ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 27, 2005 Nicely done. Shame he doesn't look as relaxed & comfortable as she. The motion is carried out well Link to comment
bens 0 Posted November 28, 2005 outstanding, and so hard to get right. you have done an excellent job with the moment, the composition, the lighting, the shutter speed, the white balance, the exposure . . . very nice work. her turn of the head also helps make this special. Link to comment
tom l 0 Posted November 28, 2005 Thanks, James & Ben for the kind words. This show gave me a chance to test out a new 85mm 1.8 lens which I got for these low light level stage conditions. The lens is awesome. That said, its still nice to shoot RAW so I can tweak the exposure up or down as the lighting varies from place to place across the stage and whenever the spot light hits them. richard hans 0 Posted December 4, 2005 Tom, actually I really enjoy this stage shot, great layers in white, best balance between dark & bright with fantastic exposure control, superb details in action, and very nice expression you caught!!! Congr. & Best regard. Link to comment
kslonaker 0 Posted December 4, 2005 Excellent shot. This is the type of shot that is very hard to get just right, but I think you managed it here! Link to comment
photobox 0 Posted December 21, 2005 you are using a fixed focal length with a great 1.8. It explains a lot how your shots are so technically great. Sorry, but his fingers visible would have been the final step needed for maximum points. Not your fault but the circumstances add many limitations. Great quality. Link to comment
