Well Nova, the tune of your comment is clear. Thank you so much!:~) And I really like your imagination of the lonesome smoker, but in these days (don't forget we are in the 18the century here) they didn't smoke cigarettes; at most a pipeful. All right, I will search for a nice guy who is willing to take place in the scene. What do you think of it when I ask some children in old fashion clothes to blow bubbles? No, that's not such a good idea; it's already to dark to play outside. LOL Greetings Nova, Ada:~)

Thanks Ken for your kind words. In particular for you I've brightened up the gate a little, but only just a little bit:) I hope it looks better now.

Dear Krzysztof, you describe exactly the final sphere that I had in my mind before I started to work up the picture! It's great to realize that my attempt was successful. Thank you very much!:-)

Hi Colin, it's nice to hear your positive opinion. Do you remember my picture of the small bridge? Well, if you walk through the gate, you see the bridge right before you in a distance of I guess 75 meters. Henri Manguy has very nice pictures of Bruges in his portfolio and one of those pictures is taken from the opposite direction as I caught the bridge. Just like you, Henri didn't recognize this gate. I think you both have approached this area coming from the other direction as I entered here. I have an other picture which I will post soon. I'm curious if you'll recognize that place, Colin. Greetings from Bruges, Ada:-)

Ada, you are truly a magician. Although the original is a decent shot, you have made it over into something that you conceived of entirely in your imagination.

That is a very special mood you have captured, and the moon works very well to enhance that moood.

The capture is the beginning. Then comes the real photography.

I'm very honoured Lannie that finally my excist as magician is distinguished by you. Since many years my nickname is 'Eucalypta'. Well, I don't know if this name also stands for witch in America, but if people here in Holland dare to call you 'Eucalypta' than you can bet your life on it that you're a real witch.

But if it comes to the point also witches can be very serious and sweet, so I take up your opinion as a great compliment, dear Lannie.

Yes, I love to make from the day a night, in both senses of the word. It gives me a wonderful sensation as I see how under my hands an unremarkable picture turns into an image with the mood I have in my mind. It's the most thrilling part of the whole process; Will I managed it or will I fail. Each new picture forms a challenge. And each time it's even exciting as before.

Well, it is far after midnight. The new fresh morning alsmost begins. My time is coming, Eucalypta goes to sleep.

A Goodnight to you too Lannie.

Greetings, Ada:~)

You've become a great artist Ada. To turn a daylight picture in this piece is really extraordinary.... excellent (makes me wanna check out my Brugge pictures as well, haha). Very inspired.... ;).... Lekker bezig meissie!!!

Great to hear that with this picture I can get you to your Brugge pictures Bianca. The greatest compliment people can give to me is when they tell me that they be inspired by the things I do. Your "meissie" make me smile.

I like this dark alley lane. Mysterious yet with a guilding light ahead. ( can't insert my 7/7). I love it.

Hi my dear Cherlyn, so nice to see you here in this dark side of town. I knew you should like the mood in here. And don't bother about the ratings; I'm not interested in it. I said it to Bianca in Dutch: I rather like to receive a great comment and you have given that to me so I'm real contented!

Cheers, Ada:~0)

Hoi Els, ingelezen of niet, wel of niet bij de tijd dat maakt allemaal geen bal uit, joh. Gewoon fijn dat je even langs komt! Liefs, Ada:~)

Thank you Wim for such a great and heartfelt compliment:) But in all fairness I have to admit that you are the one (and my little niece and nephew ofcourse) who have helped me to start and learn a bit of PS. Where would I have finished without you? It's not so difficult for me to get great ideas, you know that:))), but it's a hell of a job for me to express them. Thanks to you I'm capable now to make creations like this one without your help. Dikke kus daarvoor, broertje van me!

Liefs, Ada:~)

Dear Detlef, so nice to see you and to read your kind words. I'm glad you like my outing by night.

What concerns your question; It struck me that some people who are quite regular visitors of someones pictures stay away as soon as the pictures shows juicy details. I don't call names but I know that the majority of them still like those kind of shots but they need to watch them on the sly because of their family, boss, or Reverend. If you have the bad luck that it's a PN-bigwig who have decided that it's better to ignore your work it's logical because off the formed clique around the bigwig that his/her ardent supporters stay away as well; Follow the leader!!! Yak:(

It's childish behaviour and hypocritical too, but alas.... I know that from own experiences and you know how I think about it. (Read my comment to your picture 'Dirty' from a half a year ago).

Why do you think I have my 'nudes' separated from my 'decent' work, Detlef? .... Yes I admit, I behave myself hipocritically too.

But it's not only confined to nudes. Some people never take pains to take a look at my pictures because they think the world of themselves. Why should they spend their time on my trifling work. So even with a shot of an innocent ladybird sitting on a buttercupleave I'm not capable to entice those folks to my place.

I hope that I have express myself well enough in my poor English, dear Detlef. What reason for all the silence do you have in your mind? I'm curious to hear that from you.

Many greetings and a big hug! Ada:~)

First of all I am so pleased to hear from You so soon Ada. your english is better than most, including mine Ada.

I honestly have no idea why I am ignored...as many other photographers have nudes posted..so I am flabbergasted to why. not to mention hurt !

if someone finds my sense of humour regarding playfulness within the nude image disturbing, I wish they would come forward, and I certainly would respond.

Anyways my dear...Thank You so Much for Your Kind Reply.

I Wish You and Your Family ALL the VERY BEST Christmas Season and for 2006.

Your Friend detlef

Hi again Ada! This and your other manipulated photo have inspired me to try something similar. I think with not so good results as yours, but I'd be very happy if I could read your thoughts about my new PS effortshref>.
