colin carron 58,916 Posted December 4, 2005 Good shot of the group of pyramids. Gives a good desert feel. In those days lenses were uncoated so tended to give much lower contrast. So people would sometimes increase development time of their film (25 ASA or so) to compensate, giving the hard contrast grainy look. The more usual look for these times was a lower contrast than we are used to seeing. Here is one of Harry Burton's photos from 1922. Link to comment
