erik_b 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Although the picture seems entirely symetric it never becomes boring, i like the lines and the imperfections in the ?symetry?, very good 5/5 Link to comment
marcsamson 0 Posted March 19, 2006 Like Erik B comments, this picture is never boring....when you look at it at first, you do sens the symetry in the rectangle photo, but then, when you keep looking at it, the rectangle form visually tricks your eye & transforms to it to a "v" form (from the bottom to the top). The only aspect you could improve in this photograph, are the clouds in the far background (maybe using a circular polariser filter to enhance them.) Overall, I find this photograph very good. So A=6 & O=6 (I cannot rate the originality of this photo lower, because it is very original & plays tricks with your eyes). Regards, Marc Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted March 6, 2007 This caught my attention immediately, among all your very good photos, and it holds my attention for long. Well seen and executed, perfectly suited for B&W. The grey sky/ water layers plus the strong lines of foreground and distant trees create a lot of suspense. More sky detail is not essential, IMO. I tried a crop from the right side, to turn the vertical gap centered, and the diagonal gaps symmetrical. Not sure if this is really better, the break of symmetry can be helpful, too. I will have to think about that, not sure at the moment Link to comment
