michael foy 0 Posted February 4, 2007 So sharp I can see the finest details which in my opinion is a good thing. At first I didn't like the neck as it seemed to break things up so the head floats for a moment. But I evaluated it a moment more and decided I really liked what you did. The head did not seem to float...it seemed more like elegant clothing accentuating her. Michael Link to comment

kalkewmada 0 Posted February 4, 2007 interesting how all(or most) who are lavishing praise on this frankly average photo are horny young men...coincidence? maybe if she looked like Roseanne Barr there'd be no comments at all...unfortunately I think this is true Link to comment

wim cremers 0 Posted April 2, 2008 This is one of the best portraits I have ever seen. Kristiina, I wondered how you handled the huge contrast between the black cap and shawl on the one hand and the light face and shoulders on the other hand. The light on the face is very delicate; so, how can the shawl be so dark? The colour tone of the face with its sharp details is different from that of the blurred shoulders. I zoomed in to get the answer. Then, in the eyes, I saw you, the photographer, bending forward, legs spread (without a tripod) in an empty room with a big window and a reflecting floor. Or was it in a studio, after all? Please tell us how you have made this fascinating portrait. Feel free to answer in your own language. My compliments to you, Wim To Adam: this an average photo? There is no make-up or jewelry, no artistic pose, indeed. What an expression, however, what a composition! I rated it 7/7, nonewithstanding the fact that I am a grandfather in his sixties.
