ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 19, 2005 I agree with David. It seems a bit warm. But, it's a nice and relaxed capture Link to comment
ewanshears 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Thanks for the comments - the camera was set on 'Flash' mode - i put it back on to 'auto white balance' later which gave different results... I don't usually use dgital so was experimenting. i've never done any studio shots before and am now hooked from one session! any advice on set-ups would be great.... again thanks chaps... ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 21, 2005 If you know you'll be using flash keep your WB on flash mode. You'll get more accurate color balance than Auto Link to comment
ewanshears 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Ken the warm effect is present with the 'Flash' mode on - the most acurate colour came with the white balance set to 'Auto'? It's not my camera as i borrowed it of me ol' mate Darren... my film camera packed up that morning! Thanks for the advice too... Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 21, 2005 Unusual. I get more accurate WB in flash when using artificial light. D100 Link to comment
ewanshears 0 Posted November 22, 2005 Maybe i got it wrong then... at least should i borrow it again i won't need to wait 3 days to find out... ahh the age of digital... maybe santa will come up trumps this year... mind you i'm still waiting for that trumbone i asked for when i was 8! ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted November 22, 2005 Be a pisser if you got the trombone this year instead of the camera equipment! Seriously, was there any incandescent light on? Sometimes that bleed through slightly. You could always downplay the warm tones in PS Link to comment
