There are many things I like here, but also a few which prevent me from fully enjoying the image.

 

You had a very good eye for the subject, which is very original, by all means. There are many interesting details I like a lot, such as the texture on their robes, the slightly different position each of them has, the double-layered pattern of tiles and of men which follow a geometrical order. Indeed, is the apparent geometrical order but all the nuisances which break it, which I find interesting. In addition to the postures, there is the slightly different colour of the robes, some with a warmer red cast, some other with a colder blue one.

 

What I seem so suffer is a wide-angle distortion of sorts toward the edges of the picture and the fact that -I guess for technical limitations- the image is not wider, with full inclusion of the limbs which are missing.

Thanks for a fascinating analysis. I totally agree with you, i do like this picture a lot, but, for example, i wish the 3 men at the bottom hadn't been cut. Well, life is not that simple :-)
