charles hartley 0 Posted November 22, 2005 Southwark Cathedral. What do you think? The light in here was amazing but I'm not sure I did it justice... Link to comment
charles hartley 0 Posted November 24, 2005 I agree with both comments actually. I think I got the compostion just right but the contrast is a bit much for this kind of architectural shot. I was simply trying to illuminate the window light to its most effective. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 25, 2005 High contrast works for me. The angle/perspective is very good. The main default (for my taste) is that it seems a little bit soft/out of focus. Link to comment
jana 1 Posted July 19, 2006 Nice, dynamic and mysterious composition incuding the pattern of light and shadow. Even though I would like to see more detail in the sunlit parts of the image , cheers Jana Link to comment
gerhardt 0 Posted September 29, 2006 I would not be so quick to rule out using high contrast. The intersting thing about the contrast is that it changes the focal point from the architecture to the light. Sometimes thinking outside the lines can yield a fresh and original perspective. In this case the arcitecture is the backdrop and the play of light quite interesting. A pleasure. Cheers, Gerhardt Link to comment
