patrick j dempsey 1 Posted November 11, 2005 My father gave me his OM-1 because he claims he'll never shoot film again. This camera is just a little older than me, but so far its my favorite to shoot with. This is my friend Wes playing keyboards. Link to comment
john falkenstine 1 Posted November 12, 2005 Patrick: I purchased an OM-1 with lens just 2 weeks ago. It appears to have not been used, not a scratch or mar on it. Everything works fine, light seals a bit gummy but I think I'll send it out to have that done. Meanwhile I've been shooting film with it but none developed yet. Link to comment
patrick j dempsey 1 Posted November 14, 2005 John just buy yourself some #675 hearing-aid batteries... they go for $1 a peice.. and you will be in business with a GREAT camera. The Zuiko optics are compact and realllly sharp, IMHO. Its a joy to shoot and a joy to own... the only thing ive noticed to be malfunctioning on my 30 y-o camera is the selftimer is a little gunky... but ive been using it alot and it seems to be freed up again. I cant wait to see what you do with yours! Link to comment
mbh 0 Posted August 27, 2009 I like this shot in black and white with the instruments and all the details of life. I wish it was a bit bigger, but that's the voyeur in me. It reminds me a bit of the old black and white images my parents would take in the 60s, which triggers a nostalgia vibe in me. Actually, I like a lot of the images I've found in your portfolio. This just happens to be the one I paused to write on. It struck a chord. Link to comment
