lupine 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Hi CH: Have you considered cropping this image a bit? It seems to me, and this is only my opinion, that what is really happening in the image is happening in the bottom half. That mist is so interesting and appealing that the glaring sun seems to distract from it. I've taken the liberty of cropping your image as a sample and have included it for you to view. In addition, I've removed the lens flare. Once again, just suggestions. It's an interesting shot. Good luck. Link to comment
keeperofthefire 0 Posted February 4, 2006 Thanks Paul, for your thoughtful insight! I like the outcome! My images, for the most part, are untouched up(for lack of a better phrase). I am finding it to be inevitable that I start using p.s.. How does that old saying go,"run with the dogs,or stay on the porch"! Regards,Charles Link to comment
lupine 0 Posted February 4, 2006 I'm right there with you, CH. It's a toss up sometimes. Purists, traditionalists, pioneers, it's all good. My background is traditional, after all, I'm 50 years old! I just remind my photographer friends that digital is simply a new medium. After all, painters weren't exactly thrilled when photographers came along calling themselves artists. Now, photography is considered an art form, now digital comes along and... well, you get the point. Remember, owning a Steinway doesn't mean one can play the piano, the same thing applies to Photoshop! Enjoy, I'll look forward to seeing more of your images. Link to comment
keeperofthefire 0 Posted February 5, 2006 Hey Paul? I went through some of my shots, and came across the roll this picture came from. And guess what? I found a variation of this shot that is identical to your version! I guess I did have it covered. I'll post it in my new releases. Later, Charlie Link to comment
