Great idea nicely executed. very orignal.

clouds, tree, dress n bushes in foreground are nicely managed. only thing bird is very unusual n looks unnatural. in my opinion needs some more work on bird.

Thanks n Regards

Haunting, disturbing, lyrical -- maybe depressing, but also inspirational. There's great talent at work here! --jim

You speak right to me with this picure. Its like a Tarotcard, you are given the tools to fill in your own feelings, your own mind and thoughts. Its not to obvious, yet not to hard to envision. It has all the ingridients to make me as a viewer to stop and just make my mind take in what it se. exellent work!

Tarot card, yes, that above was an inspired comment.

Mystical, ambiguous elements, sombre/gloomy mood, an interesting sum of parts. Well applied filters, appealing and dramatic. I'm not sure if it's fluent and natural enough for my taste. However, judging objectively, it deserves front light, in an already highly interesting portfolio.

I just came across this on the photo.net home page. It is really a fantastic image. Ethereal, yet grounded; moving between dark and light and back; aged, but still fresh; a wonderful mix. And that tree--it's absolutely perfect; just suggestive enough, a blend of human and natural. I'm usually pretty wordy with critiques, but this one just leaves me speechless. Beautifully done!

Heavy texture and allegory - both things I love, for their own sake but also because when used well, as here, they invite deeper viewing of the image.

After reading thru the above comments I'd like to say: how one signs an image for internet display rarely has anything to do with how one signs the print for the gallery or buyer - here protection is everything.

The use of titles, when done with thought by the artist, provides the viewer with a key [or clue] to how the artist was thinking about the work at that time, interpreting the work. The addition of the crow/raven certainly put death into my mind instantly, for me the title clarifies the sort of death.

Brilliant work; the deeper we dig into ourselves the more significant the basis for our work - bravo for that.

I was browsing the internet and found this and had to get an account so I could leave a comment on it. This piece is so very inspirational. When I first saw it I thought it was a ghost, but found it titled "The Suicide" and felt completely differently about it. I now see it as a women wandering the after world, but unable to find peace, mourning the loss or separation from her love, which I can see represented in the crow flying beside her, together but separated in a world of unknowns. At the same time, I can see the tree as the woman, separated from body or as mother nature. This is now my favourite image in the world to look at. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing this truely inspirational piece. I, again, Love it.
