nicholasprice 0 Posted November 8, 2005 This image was taken on colour film and converted to Sepia toning in photoshop, as I felt that the subject (my home town) was suitable for a nostalgic treatment. This photograph shows The Old Dee Bridge looking towards Handbridge. At this point, the Dee is truly tidal, hence the mud bank - for those interested in such matters, it is a great place to poach Salmon and Trout!....but what do you think of the photograph? nicholasprice 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Here is the downstream stretch of The Dee in a photograph taken from the bridge. Note all the little boats - do you think that any belong to poachers? Fun regards, Nick. Link to comment
jlt 0 Posted November 9, 2005 Great in the sepia tones. The sky looks a little grainy and unnatural. I don't know why. Nice Comp. Regards Jeri Link to comment
stever2 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Fine composition. The placement of the foreground bushes and their same sided distant trees sets the buildings deep into the picture in an important way. I fiddled with some croppings but every time i did, that depth was lost. Nicely done. Steve Link to comment

colin carron 58,916 Posted November 15, 2005 Nice use of perspective with the closer bushes , mudbank etc leading the eye through to the bridge and buildings basking in the sun. The sepia works well giving it a 'Frith postcard' look. Link to comment
