I like the red leaves completely out of focus

Clear, tight composition. Excellent lighting, exposure, and balance of light and dark in photo, but...the the red leaves are too bright and too red in this composition, to act as a 'frame' or as soft foreground for dimension. They totally detract from the main subject, the in-focus tree runk, with its interesting shadow details. which we hardly notice. I would have done it the other way tound, leaves in-focus, tree out-of, or... even both leaves and tree, in-focus.
