teru 0 Posted November 8, 2005 I perfer this version more. I like The deep blue caused by the CP and the visibility of the clouds. Link to comment
cts 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Comparing to "West Wing #2", I prefer this one because of the better balance of masses, and the vertical line at the 2/3rds of the picture. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 11, 2005 I'll go against the grain on this one. While I think it's a good shot, I prefer the other posted example for the following reasons. 1.) The angles of the buildings are more dramatic and seem to work in greater harmony. 2.) The warmer tones of the buildings and the blue of the sky offer a nice play of complimentary colors. 3.) There is more separation in tone of the buildings. Here, they nearly merge. 4.) To my eye, the negative space of the sky (which really isn't negative space in either image) has a more pleasing shape in the other image. Again, I like this example but just prefer the other post for the reasons stated. I think this is a great example of how subtle changes in perspective and exposure can have such a dramatic impact on the final image. Link to comment
