oskar 0 Posted November 7, 2005 It's a niiiice car, that's for sure. The photo is not very exciting though. Maybe a different angle next time? (I'd give the car a 7/7, but unfortunatelly we are supposed to rate the photo...) Link to comment
jam50 0 Posted November 7, 2005 I'm not familiar with Austins, is the bungee on the hood a standard feature? Link to comment
maystorm 0 Posted November 7, 2005 @Oskar: Thank you for your comment. I'm a very inexperienced photographer, however, very eager to learn! If you don't mind, could you give me some hints what exactly could have been done better? You mentioned the angle: In what way would you change it? Thank you very much in advance for your time! maystorm 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Hi James! Unfortunately, I don't know whether this is a standard feature. I need to ask my friend with whom I was visiting this oldtimer show. Get back to you a.s.a.p.! Link to comment
oskar 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Alexander, about alternative angles: I have to say this is probably really hard to do in this setting, with other cars around and overcast light. One main suggestion is maybe going lower, kneeling down or even lying on the floor. Your current view point is the way every person sees the world: 1.5-2m above the ground. You have to show the viewer something new :) Another idea is to get closer and take a photo of a particular part of the car, like the cool metalic wheels or the front or maybe from the inside. I often do this, so I am a big fan of it :) I'm posting a few links to my own photos of car "components" below. That is just to get your creative juices going! maystorm 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Oskar, thanks a lot for your suggestions! So, the point is to draw the attention to different view points and/or perspectives to which we are not used in the "real" world? Hmm, yes, sounds reasonable. Well, I'll keep your hints in mind and next time I'll try to find some unusual perspectives and/or details! Link to comment
