miles_hecker 0 Posted November 6, 2005 On a turbulent morning high in Wyomings Beartooth Mountains, light momentarily triumphs over darkness. Link to comment

clives 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Nice shot. Confused by the use of the word "turbulent" given the unusual dead calm on the lake. Just curious. Still a nice image and good use of the great light on the mtn and dark behind. Good eye. Link to comment
miles_hecker 0 Posted November 7, 2005 Ten minutes before this was snapped the wind was blowing 10-15mph and it was raining lightly. The weather can change very quickly in Wyoming, especially 9000 feet up in the Beartooth Mountains. Fifteen minutes after this it was raining again. The rain was then followed by a rainbow! clives 0 Posted November 8, 2005 Thanks. You are blessed. I live on the highs plains in southern Canada and often go to the mountains. When the lakes are rippled they seem to stay rippled and it is a rare day to get glass calm. Link to comment
jay_patel 0 Posted November 10, 2005 Excellent. I love the storm lighting. The composition and colors on the hills are very good. Link to comment
carsten_ranke 0 Posted February 25, 2006 Great lighting situation, stunning colors, mirror like reflection. The calm before the storm, excellent. BTW, I see you have the 17-40/4L on full frame: any problems with soft edges ? Link to comment
steve_bingham 0 Posted April 20, 2006 This is about as striking a landscape as I have seen in awhile. The wonderful gray sky certainly gives a soft background for that sweet light hitting the mountain. I know the bushes serve to balance the image, but I wonder if you have tried cropping some of the bottom - maybe almost to the mountain top? Anyway, have a pair of 7s for a job well done. mikestacey 0 Posted January 23, 2007 A stunning location and excellent portrayal of nature's beauty. The shrub in lower R corner is a nice touch and relieves the viewer's eye from what might be too repetitious. Wonderful shot. Link to comment
chriss1 2 Posted May 4, 2008 fabulous landscape and light, although I'd prefer to remove bush or grass on right down corner. But, from the other hand, it balances the composition Link to comment
