mcgarity 0 Posted November 6, 2005 Thank you Arthur. Thank you Kim. And you are right it won't be long. Winter was definately rearing its head this morning. There was a COLD wind blowing and it had a sharp bite. We actually had a few snow flurries. It was just a light dusting and didn't last long though. I am sure the weather in your neck of the woods is similar. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted November 6, 2005 The cabin's had dustings (7500 ft elevation), but so far we haven't down here at 5300 ft. My hubby's working in Rifle and Parachute, Colo., and they've had to be on standby for a couple of days waiting for the snow to melt and the roads to dry. How high are you? (elevation :-) Link to comment
mcgarity 0 Posted November 7, 2005 How high am I? Not as high as I was when I was 20 thats for sure. :) On a serious note the elevation of my home is just about 5000 feet. It may be a few feet higher but not much. BUT if you head out the front door and go west it starts to climb immediately and gets pretty tall pretty quick. We normally don't get that much snow down at this level. Its tolerable in other words. The folks on the western slopes get a lot more than we do here on the front range. But there is no predicting Mother Nature. Two winters back we had a late March snow storm that completely buried 6 feet shrubs in my back yard. It was not much fun digging out the driveway from that one. Link to comment
