thomas_turk 0 Posted November 5, 2005 Superb lighting. Great capture. When I blank off the left tree, (distracts a little from the main subject) and just leave half the foliage, and...then blank(crop) off the bottom of the photo, all below Pierre's feet, I get a much more strict and clear composition. Then... half a stop darker for more spooky mystery and drama. Link to comment
J.W. Wall 3 Posted November 5, 2005 Beautiful image. Thomas has some nice ideas -- the figure and the building and leaves are just too good! Congratulations! Link to comment

henrimanguy 0 Posted December 6, 2005 Tres belle photo, pleine de douceur matinale (ou vesperale). J'ai jete un oeil sur vos autres photos qui montrent un grand sens artistique et une grande maitrise technique. Amicalement, Henri Link to comment
elmroc 0 Posted September 5, 2008 Well done. Absolutely wonderful mood created here. Almost like a Thomas Kinkaid painting. Congratulations!!!!!!! Link to comment
AaronFalkenberg 0 Posted September 5, 2008 I have to disagree with the Thomas Kinkaid reference, this is an excellent photograph in part because of the muted colors (the blue jeans are perhaps a bit too blue), and foggy atmosphere. Top notch composition, and it square, no less. Link to comment
Stock-Photos 1 Posted September 6, 2008 The fog adds to the already good lighting, composition and subject matter. Looks like it could have been 150 years ago. Great work! Link to comment
johnw63 0 Posted September 6, 2008 I disagree about the tree on the left being a distraction. Without the tree, where is the boy going ? To an empty bottom left corner ? To the mail box ? With the tree hanging from the right and the tree on the left, he seems to be going into the trees. Is he going into the woods ? The lantern would seem out of place, if he was just walking away from the house. However ... add the trees and a destination becomes important. ? If nothing else the trees balance out the weight of the house. Leave the tree. By the way, I like the shot. Link to comment
