How is this? Opinions? Please Critique!

an "instantaneous" shot! It's very spontaneous, though I'd like to see her in focus. Is it an scanning problem or is just the original shot?

I like the overall composition of what looks to be a spontaneous shot!

nice composition, I don't think the softess of her face detracts, maybe even enhances because it allows the eye to take in the rest of the image better?

Technically, the shot is not particularly good, suspect photographer has an artistic rather than a technical background, but the compositon is excellent. Either very studied good, well posed composition, or the photographer has a "natural" instinct. Nice use of balance and in-focus slightly out of focus effect

I am very upset that you can make a picture this good on digital when I am still fooling with view cameras. Seriously it is stunning and your choice of BW well thought through. I want to know what they are so happy about! I would add that I regard comments about technical vs. artistic as irrelevant -- I certainly do not mean to insult Glenn who is an expert, but that is just my own take on it. I am an amateur dilettante and do not have to edit the New York Times, Vogue, Architectural Digest, or Penthouse. So I can afford to have opinions.

 

I love the composition. It makes it feel like I am standing right next to the girl...like I'm there enjoying whatever is so funny.
