I came looking for more '69 oldies and came across this one. I like the tones and shadows. Nice shot. very contrasty.

Hi

Just recently back from a trip down the West Coast and across California to the Grand Canyon and back home.

No need to worry about being away from here doing other things. Just good to know things are okay with you though.(hiatus - had to look it up with www.answers.com).

In thinking about revising my page to include our recent trip, I was checking some of my links. I was dismayed to find I could not access your page. There is an error on my IE browser and my Firefox about a certificate; the first line of the error message: "unable to verify the identity of zimbra.hickel.info as a trusted site". And the rest about allowing the certificate. Sorry I do not have the time to make a screen shot of it and I cannot seem to figure out how to copy and paste the error message. Is it okay for me to allow that? I understand Charter has been having some sort of problems, also. But that is probably a seperate issue. So, all is well for me, except to access your home page.

I changed some dns records with the internet. I will have to fix that. Thanks for the info.

Hope your trip went well? Took lots of pictures I hope. Let me know when you post them (and where).

Got to run.

Thanks for checking in, you busy guy.

It will be good to access your page again. The certificate ran until sometime in May, I think, but not sure.

I won't have my photos loaded to my page for a while, as they are all RAW and I am trying to learn how to use the PS CS converter to jpeg-- gettting some god-awful results, so far. Its all fun, though. I have a few loaded to my portfolio under travel. Not really much, they will all need reworking.

I always use Tiff as there is no loss from save to save. Jpg has loss, or so I am told.

Yes busy doing other stuff current. Am official Navy retired now though, so weekends are free-er.

regards,

Steve

Ahhh you are speaking of the scans. Save to TIFF and you still have to convert to Jpeg for the net. Thanks for the info, tho. I can use all the help I can get.

I was talking about my RAW digital shots. I have since figured a few things out about the RAW converter plug in and am getting a bit better at it. Lots to learn about PSing.

Happy to see you have more time. Ha. It seems that you get even more busy when you are retired. Hope your other stuff is going well. :)
