Guest Guest Posted October 30, 2005 love these birds. I'd like more space around the bird and less frame. Link to comment
jon thornton 0 Posted October 30, 2005 Wonderful shot. The contrast between the bird and the BG is excellent. It really makes the subject pop. I'm not so sure about the mount though. I like the mount colour, but I find the grain a bit distracting. I also think that it would be worth experimenting with mount dimensions that better emphasise the height of the bird. If it were my photo (and I wish it were), I would chop 50px off both the left and the right of the mount. Link to comment
rich_evans 0 Posted November 1, 2005 Great shot James - I think the crop is just about right, the frame could be a touch smaller though, maybe 1/2 this size so the owl becomes more the subject than the frame. I wish there were more of this type of photography making the TRP. 7/7 --Rich Link to comment

flietyer 0 Posted June 2, 2009 I love this picture. I like the colors of the framing and I guess it would make a differance where this was displayed as to the dementions of the framing. i.e. is it in a public place or in someones living room. If it were at say the local dinner it would definatly catch my eye and be a topic of conversation. thanks for sharing wlt Link to comment
