FilmPhotography-DuaneHorne 0 Posted October 31, 2005 My son had a skin rash this summer. I snapped this image just fooling around. He loves it; says it makes him look aboriginal. Your thoughts please. Link to comment
janet_. 0 Posted November 6, 2005 strong, orginal and very beautiful shot! I love it! Hope to make this kind of a shot next summer too! And indeed, he looks like an aboriginal! :0) (and yes, underrated too!) it's a 7/7 for me... Link to comment

jnicholson 0 Posted November 21, 2005 Hi Duane, your son is right and this is excellent work. You may have just "snapped" this image but the lighting and facial expression, and the fact that he's not looking at the camera, make this way more than just a snap. IMHO, anyway. All the best. nino1 0 Posted December 1, 2005 It's true, he seems some sort of aboriginal or African. I like the light and color, I find this portrait very interesting. Link to comment

michaelhills 0 Posted April 15, 2006 Well, without reading any of the comments, just immersing myself in the image, I immediately thought that it was an arresting image of man undergoing some sort of centruries old tribal initiation rite.... had a good laugh when I read to the contrary! Joking aside, Duane... this is a very accomplished 'portrait'. It is no wonder your son likes it... maybe it presents a side of him that one does not see very often... it is almost like the 'mask' of the lotion has allowed his inner self to surface. Quite a powerful image, really. I like this alot. M :) ps... what does this look like in monotone? Would be interested to see what texture the lotion comes up as... :) Link to comment

susan stone 0 Posted May 16, 2006 I have to agree with everyone else, this is one of those spontaneous images that really works as a portrait to the soul. Maurice must of seen his "wild" side in this image in spite of the discomfort of the rash, I love the lighting on his skin and lips, the texture of the lotion and his hair, he's truly a "golden boy".
