Eyes and Shadow Revisited

This is the black and white version of the photograph I posted

yesterday. I think I like this one better.

The eyes stand out now. I also like the shadow across the lower face - also draws attention to the eyes. But the colour version will have its own fans :-)

I agree with the previous comment re the eyes, however I really think that there is too much shadow on the lower face and it detracts from a good picture.

I agree...that shadow is too dark in both the color and b&w versions. He's got those awesome big 'ol eyes though, so keep on shooting and maybe experiment a bit more with the composition. This is too centered and cropped for my taste. I guess I either want to see more of his body or crop it super tight to make a more dramatic statement.
