suman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Stopped by at delware water gap and that is what I saw. Pretty nice color and although it was cloudy, fall color made up for the warmth. Please comment on the compo and quality. Link to comment
kahkityoong 0 Posted October 28, 2005 I suspect you were well served by the overcast conditions giving you even lighting. I like the colour arrangement, orange one half, green the other. Your exposure is perfect giving the water a dynamic quality without blowing out highlights. What lens, shutter & aperture did you use? Link to comment
suman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Thanks for your comments. I was hoping to shoot a shot like this for a long time, but it was materialized only when I moved to east coast. Man this is a colorful area! Anyway, it was shot from a 20D and 17-40 L, exposure compensation -2/3, I think somewhere around f20. shutter speed I believe around 1sec. Shutter released from on-camera self timer. I set up everything and let the tripod/camera combo stabilised for the self timer interval. Link to comment
pulok 1 Posted October 28, 2005 Very nice work, Suman (although I feel little bit busy image; just my opinion, not a criticism). Kind regards... Link to comment
suman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 Thanks man. Can you explain a bit about your "busy" feeling? I could not figure out exactly what you tried to mean. Link to comment
pulok 1 Posted October 31, 2005 Suman, it was just my opinion, not any criticism about your image. Anyway, according to me, every image should have only one subject or one particular story (although exceptions are there). As your this image is not about any story, I feel, it should have only one subject. So if I were you, I would have tried to give importance to either waterflow or colourful leaves. I am attaching some examples from PN - 1, 2, 3. Kindest regards... Link to comment
jmoody 0 Posted January 6, 2006 I see what Pulok is saying, but don't think this could've/should've been shot any differently. while scrolling up and down on this monitor, part of me things maybe you could've composed a little lower to leave out some of the green at top, but then you might've crowded the water too much. This is a great shot the way it is with all the color & motion and natural beauty that you've found. good worK Link to comment
dilip_kumar_singha 0 Posted January 29, 2006 Excellent color, composition and quality. Congratulation!!! Beautiful softness of water created by slow shutter has given a lyrical mood. Link to comment
