kbridgman 0 Posted October 28, 2005 It was a very overcast day when I framed this image along a steep wooded ridge that drops to the edge of Long Creek. The lighting conditions required a long exposure. The tree to the right is a massive beech tree, and the root base is probably close to six feet in diameter while the trunk is so large a person can barely reach half way around the sides...I wish I have some kind of reference indicator to show just how large it is, it must be several hundred years old...I realize the exposure may not be perfect, but the overall effect of the image almost makes it look like a painting instead of a photograph...Anyway...Comments are always welcome. sunapeephoto 0 Posted October 28, 2005 A liitle too much sky is creeping in and washing out the upper right corner. Crop the top ten to fifteen percent of this photo and you have a really nice forest shot Link to comment
