jcs56 0 Posted October 25, 2005 I like the photo, the idea its good. Te subjets moving behind ad ambient to the scene, the way your main subjet is looking to the horizont. A constructive critique, I feel you took the picture with the camera not in horizontal position. That creates a rare perspective, look how the floor looks. Greetings Jose Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Jose, in fact that tilting is just an illusion. The floor as well the stairs are really sloping in reality. Don't know what kind of architect designed them! You can guide yourself by the horizontal brick wall behind and by the people that are in upright position. Thanks very much for commenting! Link to comment
wernher 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Before I saw the title I thought "she looks very forlorn". So if you're able to express a feeling with a photo then you've done a good job. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 25, 2005 strong shot Alexandre. Dynamic against motionless, well thought and achieved. Link to comment
alexguerra 0 Posted October 26, 2005 Wernher, I'm glad that this photo was successful on transmiting that feeling. I think this woman was a homeless person, so most probably she really was 'forlorn' (I had to check this word in the dictionary... thanks for improving my english vocabulary:) Yann, yes I think it ended up resulting in a quite strong photo. And thanks a lot for the suggestion of using Firefox browser, no problems with displaying thumbnails anymore! Link to comment
jcs56 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Hi colleges!Hi agree with Wernher, the photo tell us a history, grate joob. "And the actress make eye contact with the horizont" (Theater director instructing an actress for a theater play) Congrats! Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted October 28, 2005 Alexandre, very good composition. The sloping floor, the movement of the passersby and the woman sitting with a vacant look, aptly reflects the caption. Link to comment
