minicucci 0 Posted October 22, 2005 Wes: This is a gorgeous scene. That sloping, red-leafed tree adds everything. Good capture! A couple of suggestions that you can take or leave: As posted, and on my monitor, the image comes through with a slight blue cast. If you neutralize to the midtones and shadows in the rocks and the highlights in the falls, the yellows will take a stronger role. However, the greens will really dominate too and may need some desatuation. EV is uneven, especially on the left side and is generally a bit over bright. A few curves gradient masked to those areas would cure the uneveness and a global drop in brightness (about 3/4 of a stop) would add richness to the colors. There is something (a roofline?) in the upper left corner that detracts from the tranquility of the scene. A slight crop off of the top and some judicious cloning could eliminate it. Finally, the focus is fine but the Web JPG could use a touch more sharpening. Link to comment
forrest_andrew 0 Posted November 5, 2005 interesting mix of colors and elements. a polarizing filter may have added alot here by cutting out the white glare off the veg, resulting in greater color saturation. Link to comment
