Another Cloud Through Plastic

David, I know shooting images of clouds may not be "original" but I am drawn to it as well. The shapes in particular, and the varieties.

You were kind enough to post a comment on my portfolio page (the rooster in the station) so I thought I'd return the compliment and check out your pictures. There were many superb shots but this one is just wonderful. There's a hell of a lot I don't understand about photography but I fancy I know a little more about the human heart and how it surfaces in our work. Our photographs are really a picture of ourselves and how we relate to the world. I don't want to go on and on in some kind of treatise on the relationship between art and philosophy and get completely snared in my own abstractions. Its enough to say that your spirit comes through in your pictures.

Also. I read your remarks on the numerical rating of pictures and that clarified a lot of things for me, things that I always knew and just as constantly forget. How much we depend on the approval of others and the consequences of that kind of roller-coaster ride. I am presently witnessing the dying process of a very close friend. It puts things into much clearer perspective.

Thanks again for your kindness which seems in such short supply in this world. Hope I didn't embarrass you.
