- Dear Pnina, I think I will make an other picture about the same theme in which I will try to use all the advices you've given to me. It's not that I don't want to restore the bulb you talk pointed to. I also see what you mean. But after many attempts I don't succeed to reach the result I have in mind. I also think I do better not to put a picture like this in the nude-category. Most of the people there don't appreciate my creative work very much:(((

It's sometimes very difficult to find a suitable category for a particular shot. But thanks again for your altruistic help, dear Pnina, greetings Ada:)

- Only the comments are interesting to me, dear Jan. So, I'm really very happy with what you've written here. Thank you so much! Ada:)

- Hi Michael, after reading your kind words which really touches me, I follow your advice; I leave it like that.

That she may rest in peace and may the flowers blossom on top of her in the month of May.

See you Michael, Ada:)

PS. Michael, I'm really very curious to know in which aspect you find this picture 'daring'. The most daring part in respect to this picture for me was that I've asked for critiques in the Nude-category. I'm such a naive girl:~)

Your comment to my picture is also outstanding and that is just what I needed. Thank you very much for taking the time you took to look and comment it! Greetings, Ada:)

So deep the appeal was, so strong I heard it, here I am. You achieved a very nice work, rather sexy - even erotic - and enchanting. A pity the breast on the right is "transparent". What I like is the hands... Why? I don't know really... I find they add something "alive".

You are to the point and I like that. Your thoughts about my picture don't disappointed me at all. That you call this shot enchanting is already great and it flatters me all the more to hear it coming from your mouth. After all you are the man of the fairy-tales and fantasies!

That this picture should be sexy, I would quarrell with that. At least, I've never had the intention to make a sexy or erotic composition. Actually you are the first one who mention it, and well if you find it sexy that's a welcome bonus.

May I ask you why you find it a pity that the right breast is transparant Yann? It's like it is through the effect of one on the other. The decomposition of the body after death is a gradual process. One part of the body decomposed more fast than the other part. It depents on many factors like soil conditions, pressure etc. Well I'm sure you know all about that and perhaps more than I do. In this particular case the body is food for the mushroom. So I've let the shape, light and colour of the mushroom dominate the body. Where the contact with the body is more intensive, the colour/structure is deeper.

It's a long story, my English is very bad, so I will not hold it against you if you don't come back:) Was great to see you Yann, I really appreciate it!

Ada:)

I have to say that I left some words without having read all the comments already written. My first one was left during a short visit on PN, just a little humour touch, because it's true, beyond its great originality/creativity, I found your composition rather sexy.

Lovely mushroom to harvest. This blend of Nature's beauty, Nature's life and body shapes is appealing, pleasant to see and can be a good and dreamlike view of what Nature is able to offer us to our eyes.

May be my second comment wasn't very complete... I was wondering what's the sense of the title - do not worry about your english, mine isn't better ; ) - cause I didn't understand it very well. Glad to see you taking the time to reply like this.

Now, I understand much better what you meant with this composition about de-composition. But I keep my opinion about the the right breast (your left one). It's of course my personal point of view.

Decomposition could have worked even with a sharp and complete breast thanks to the very good work you did on the arms. Transparency is well used and works well with your concept. May be - if I had to work on such a concept - I would have worked more on the top of this enchanting mushroom - actually it the sharpest part - and perhaps a decomposition work on it would have increased something about the "soul".

Is the power of "nature cycle" only about textures and shapes? Not sure if you believe on Nature's power... It could be a long long debate : )

Of course, the main work of time and death against life is visible on shapes/textures, I agree.

About the hands... I spoke about theses hands without being able to say why I like them... I find them powerful, they add something strong in the composition and in the "pose" of this mushroom. It's decomposing but the pose doesn't show us fear, looks like this time - after life - is waited and accepted. And it works perfectly.

Be sure I found this work quite interesting, as well as your many words now I took the time to read all of them : ) Excellent creative mind Ada, keep the fairytales alive!

PS : Leaving you a 7 rating in originality isn't possible cause you rated me with one. Then, no under-rating from me. I prefer to leave you a "verbal" 7.

My goodness Ada, this one slipped my sight for just one bit... I have to spent some more time at Photo.net I presume... This is really amazing, it makes you wonder, it makes you fantasize, it makes you smile and it makes you think... all in one picture... truly to say, you've reached the point of No Return, hahaha.

When I look at my own work, the experimental stuff is where I can put my heart and soul in.... but I love to spend my time in nature and shoot some 'normal' stuff to...;-).... I am so very very curious at what YOU are gonna do now! Again this one is (just like your last) very original and daring. Experiment, try and play all you can (it is the most beautiful feeling, hihi). You have the talent!!!! And the amazing body too...;-).... And thanks for your touching words! Veel liefs!

Geez Ada no wonder I never get any comments on my photo's! You have the whole of PN over here. Nova ;)

Was better with one breast

I full understand that the text I used wasn't very clear to you. It's a passage in the Bible (I'm sure you know that) and I think it's written in a very old English translation. I've searched for a more modern version but my dictionary only gave me this and actually I like it. It sounds very solemn and I think that fits perfect to the item which is not only a natural but also a serious case.

You said you should probably have worked more on top of the mushroom because of its sharpness. If I tell you how long I have shifted with the body picture (which I had placed as a second layer over the Mushroom picture) to reach the (in my opinion) greatest result. The nice details (I can't find the English word for it) under the mushroom's cap are in perfect harmony with the curves of my shoulders and a hum ... low neckline. I should have lost that effect if I had moved the body more to the top. I didn't want my head in this picture because it has a complete different shape as the cap of the mushroom, lucky me! LOL

I can assure you Yann, with the two pictures I've used for this composition it's possible to make much more wonderful pictures. And all of them would have a complete different look. PS is really great, but its o so very complicated. But I will think about your suggestion concerning the soul. Perhaps a great idea for my next picture; to involve the soul into the item. That will become very psychedelic with all those mushroom stuff and my favourite music on the background when I'm busy in PS @~)

Perhaps the next work will form a perfect cause to discuss the power of 'Nature cycle' or 'Circle of life', which both are the same to me.

Yes of course I believe on Nature's power. What concerns me Nature power is the only Power there is. O no, let us stop talking about that subject. It's already far after midnight here.

And don't bother about the ratings Yann, I don't care about them. It are the comments which are really interesting to me.

And your comment was invaluable, dear Yann. Many many thanks for the time you've spent to explain your point of view. Big Hug from me and my mushroom;)

Greetings, Ada:)

Well what can I say? You almost praises me to the skies with your comment;~) and you sum things up in a few words which really make me blush.

I undergo the work in PS just like you do. It's very exciting to experiment and to discover all the possibilities it has. To me it's still an enormous magicbox.

You asks me what I gonna do now. Well, if it depends on me I would do nothing else as making pictures like this one. But it costs a lot of time and I'm already busy to neglect by household and my husband. But we'll see where the ship will run aground:~) Is that an English idiom, Bianca? My English isn't as good as yours. But I'm sure you'll understand.

And Bianca, thank you for all the very positive compliments you made me. You're a delight!

Hugs, Ada:)

This picture is beautiful. I see you rather living then dead. The champignon is too beautiful. Is the champignon toxic? I wish you still pleasure !!

It is very sweet of you to tell me that you rather like me alive, Flore! I already know that, lieverd! And I love that beautiful image you gave to me. It's so funny; the cheerful colours of the mushroom and the kind dwarf make me happy and alive and kicking!!!

It is possible that this mushroom is toxic but I am not sure.

XXX

It's great to receive such a positive comment on this picture from you. You are so very skillful in photography and in PS that your opinion means very much to me. That you can't give me the ratings you would like to give me, is not important to me. The knowledge you had planned to give me sevens for this is really a great deal to me. Thank you very much, Colin.

Greetings, Ada:)

Dust to dust?

It's great to see that the mushroom is starting to be a human.

One brest looks warm already.

My hart is beating and I can't wait.

When is she finished? (lol)

Yes Ada, your image is great and real re-newing!

Ada, this is highly creative, intriguing and fascinating. I love when the mind creates such associations and the artist gives color, shape and light to them. The symbiosis, metamorphosis, return to the Earth ( and nature) is originally rendered.

I think the nipple others refer to is the right one BUT looking at the picture here. It is not for the warm color, that is ok with me; it's that the nipple seems to curl up and creates a strange effect.

Aside this small detail, the creation is great.

Link to comment

Thank you so much for your great and constructive comment. I'm very happy with your appreciation Paula. I agree with you about the nipple and I like to explain you why it looks like that;

I made this picture with the intention to let the structures and shapes of the mushroom fully dominate the body because new life, in this case the mushroom is stronger than death matter (the body) and I liked to accentuate that. The power of nature is the strongest power there is (at least that's my opinion) and lays down the law to us and if we like or don't like those laws that's beside the point. So I decided to let nature go it's own way and that's why I didn't clone in or out or haven't worked up any detail in my first version of the compositon. In that one I have only mixed the two pictures and made the second layer (the body) transparant and have used some filters in PS to come to the final result. It was difficult to determine the right position for the two pictures compared to each other to come to the most acceptabel mix.

I was very curious how people would react on this pretty unappetizing looking picture.

Some people think it's perfect like it is other ones gave me tips to change some little details and I have done that to come to a better easthetic result. I've also done that with your remark. I think it looks better indeed and I hope you will give your reaction on the result. I'm really very grateful to your fantastic and honest comment dear Paula. Thanks again!

Greetings, Ada:)

BTW, the regarding breast must create the impression that it's already more decayed than the other one.

Ada, for some strange reasons I can't see the original upload ( neither here nor on my page), while I can see all the attachments. From that, I see the curl is gone; it was small thing, but I prefer no curl:-)

This is really a thump up, up, up, creation.
